Job summary

Highland Rivers Behavioral Health is seeking an RN or LPN to deliver high-quality nursing care on the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU). The CSU operates 24/7 with 28 beds, providing psychiatric stabilization and detoxification, serving as a first-line option to hospitalization.

You will perform admissions/discharges, monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with APRN and CSU leadership to ensure safe, compliant care.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN or LPN license.
• Experience in crisis or behavioral health settings preferred.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Complete admission and discharge nursing assessments and care plans.
• Monitor care including diet, activity, and vital signs; report changes to APRN/Csu Nurse Manager.
• Document progress and complete daily shift notes for CSU.
• Maintain logs, CIWA/COWS, and chart checks.
• Transcribe orders and manage daily assignment sheets.
• Maintain census accuracy and inventory of supplies.
• Provide patient/family education on treatment and aftercare.
• Assist in crisis intervention and stabilization when needed.
• Engage in patient groups and coordinate with staff across units.
