Terros Health is hiring a Crisis Specialist for the Flagstaff location. This 30-hour/week position supports mobile crisis teams delivering on-site crisis intervention, assessment, planning and stabilization to individuals and families in crisis.

The role involves collaboration with hospitals, schools and first responders, plus administrative coordination and scheduling. Bilingual Spanish is a plus and evening/weekend differentials apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: GED/High school diploma with 1.5 years of behavioral health experience or an Associate degree in BH, or a bachelor’s degree in BH (e.g. Psychology, Social Work) or a non-BH bachelor’s with 1 year BH experience
• Must have valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Level 1) or apply within 7 working days
• Must have valid Arizona driver’s license, be 21+, with 4 years driving experience and meet Terros Health driving policy

Responsibilities

• Perform mobile crisis interventions in various settings (residences, schools, hospitals)
• Collaborate with clients, families, schools, first responders, and others to support stabilization
• Assist hospital discharges with assessment, planning and coordination with the hospital team
• Act as interface between Crisis Department and crisis call center
• Help manage the Crisis Department schedule and related administrative tasks
• Provide clinical oversight to BHTs as needed (for licensed clinicians)

This position has a dual role: First, as part of the mobile crisis team, the Crisis Specialist responds on-site to individuals in crisis whose issues cannot be resolved by the crisis call center telephonically. Utilizing best practices in crisis intervention, the Crisis Specialist responds to and supports individuals and families in crisis. Second, engages in administrative activities necessary for the crisis department to function on a daily basis Your duties would include but are not limited to: Performing mobile crisis interventions in a variety of settings including individual residences, schools, and hospital emergency rooms. A master's degree or higher in the field of behavioral health (e.g. Psychology, Social Work, Counseling), Arizona BH licensure (e.g. licensed social worker, licensed counselor, licensed marriage and family therapist) 1-3 years of Substance Abuse, Mental Health, and/or other crisis management skills
