Job summary

HopeLink Behavioral Health in Oakton, VA, seeks a 988 Learning and Development Specialist (Coach) to supervise Crisis Services staff, provide coaching, and manage the full employee life cycle from onboarding to retention.

You will deliver staff supervision, conduct performance evaluations, support training, and ensure compliance with clinical and operational standards in a 24/7/365 environment, with a hybrid on-site schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of direct supervisory experience in crisis intervention, suicide prevention, or behavioral health.
• 2-3 years of supervisory experience can substitute for degree requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time coaching, supervision, and escalation support while maintaining direct service coverage as needed.
• Deliver individual and group supervision, ongoing performance feedback, coaching to support staff growth and retention, and complete annual performance evaluations.
• Deliver community of practice and case staffing groups weekly to build staff skills.
• Promote staff wellness through debriefing, recognition, and fostering resilience after challenging contacts.
• Collaborate with program leadership on workflow improvements, compliance, and quality initiatives.
• Maintain a current understanding of frontline work with 3 hours of direct service engagement per week.
• Perform other duties to support HopeLink's mission and 24/7/365 operations.
