MIFA in Memphis, TN seeks a HSP Generalist to assist individuals and families in crisis by managing the help desk, intake, and referrals across Rent & Mortgage Assistance, Family Shelter, and Rapid Rehousing. You will respond to inquiries within 24 hours, help clients complete applications within 48 hours, and maintain confidential records in HMIS.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or two years of post-high school education.
• Two years of experience in a social services environment with high-volume client service.
• Two years of office, data entry, or reporting experience focusing on responsive client service.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic cybersecurity best practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Help Desk operations and provide timely client support.
• Answer and return calls and messages within 24 hours.
• Assist clients by entering applications and processing pending ones within 48 hours.
• Maintain client information securely in HMIS and related databases.
• Collaborate with external partners and refer clients to community resources.
• Document monthly visit notes and communicate with shelters daily.
