Job summary

Seacoast Mental Health Center in Exeter, NH seeks an Emergency Services Clinical Manager to lead clinical teams and ensure high-quality crisis care across hospital and agency locations. The role oversees supervision, performance management, workforce development, and data-driven decisions, while maintaining direct clinical involvement and collaboration with hospital leadership and community partners.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field.
• Independent clinical licensure in New Hampshire (LICSW, LCMHC, LMFT, or equivalent).
• 3–5 years of progressive behavioral health leadership and crisis services experience.
• Training in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, Motivational Interviewing, Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale, and ASAM Criteria.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative, clinical, and operational leadership to Emergency Services clinicians and staff.
• Ensure high-quality crisis assessment, intervention, stabilization, and referral services across Exeter Hospital, agency locations, and affiliated organizations.
• Oversee supervision, performance management, workforce engagement, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain staff competency in evidenced-based crisis care and review complex, high-risk cases.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership, community agencies, referral sources, and collateral providers.
• Support staff recruitment, onboarding, retention, and professional development.
• Utilize performance metrics and operational data to improve efficiency and patient outcomes.
