Job summary

The Arc of the Ozarks is seeking a Behavior Support Technician to bridge individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their communities. The BST supports daily living skills, medication administration, and community participation, with shadowing in homes to build skills and fit clients with staff.

This role offers shadowing, flexible shifts, and potential to move into permanent part-time or full-time roles.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Diploma from an accredited High School or the equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Educate clients on personal hygiene, cooking, grocery shopping, cleaning, and daily living activities.
• Help clients learn coping skills to manage challenging behaviors.
• Utilize verbal de-escalation to ensure client safety and follow behavior support plans with professionals.
• Support clients in community participation and independent living goals.
