Job summary

Eagle County Government seeks a Victim Advocate to provide crisis response, emotional support, and navigation for crime or tragedy victims. You will help coordinate a volunteers program, protect victim rights, and maintain meticulous data tracking for department programs.

The role requires strong integrity, emotional resilience, and the ability to work within 24-hour on-call dynamics, with bilingual Spanish/English proficiency preferred.

Qualifications

• Background in administrative/professional work with crisis experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass background checks and travel as needed.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 on-call crisis response and emotional support for victims of crime or tragedy.
• Advocate for victims’ rights and guide survivors through constitutional rights and victim services processes.
• Coordinate volunteer advocates, recruit, screen, train, and manage scheduling and monthly meetings.
• Review police reports to identify victims, maintain accurate data records and surveys.
