Job summary

Macomb County’s Community Mental Health department seeks a Therapist - Co-Responder to work with law enforcement, conducting screenings, intake assessments, and case management for adults and youth with serious emotional disturbance.

The position requires a Master’s in Social Work or related field, licensure (LMSW/LPC/etc), two years clinical experience, and a valid Michigan driver’s license. The role includes crisis services, documentation, and on-call rotation with varying shifts.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field.
• Two (2) years of clinical mental health experience.
• One (1) year of crisis services or justice-involved experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screenings, intake assessments, and case management for adults, developmentally disabled adults, and youths with serious emotional disturbance.
• Collaborate with law enforcement partners to provide crisis services and referrals.
• Maintain thorough documentation and participate in on-call rotations.
