Job summary

YAI's START Therapeutic Coach role supports individuals with co-occurring developmental disabilities and mental health needs, in homes or community settings, delivering daily and crisis interventions and guiding families and caregivers to reduce crises through positive psychology and person-centered techniques.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in Human Services.
• Driver's license is strongly encouraged.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a small team.
• Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines in a fast-changing environment.
• Experience organizing therapeutic recreational activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on crisis stabilization and education to families.
• Create and implement daily and crisis therapeutic interventions.
• Collaborate with coordinators and support systems to guide family members.
• Assist in de-escalation of behaviors using positive psychology and person-centered approach.
• Support community crisis services and clinical home coordination.
