Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or coursework in psychology, social work, or human services preferred.
• At least one year of experience in behavioral health, in-patient psychiatric, or correctional settings strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with EHR systems (Avatar, BHL, Xferral) and basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients, families, and law enforcement partners; ensure a welcoming environment.
• Document arrival time, demographics, and initial observations; assist with intake and safety screenings.
• Conduct routine safety checks, environmental rounds, and room inspections for ligature risks or contraband.
• Maintain weapons-free environment through screening procedures and ensure confidentiality per HIPAA and CARF standards.
• Engage clients in structured activities, build rapport, and support treatment goals and discharge planning.
