Job summary

Monarch Healthcare in North Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse to oversee paraprofessionals and provide direct nursing care in our Behavioral Health division. The RN will execute treatment and supportive care per program design and best practices under supervision.

You will assess admissions, educate clients about mental illness and substance use, participate in treatment planning, and ensure appropriate referral to higher levels of care when needed.

Qualifications

• ADN required with NC RN license.
• Experience in crisis management or crisis response.
• Experience with children/youth/adolescents in crisis setting (1 year, required).

Responsibilities

• Assess and document admission appropriateness and health status.
• Educate individuals about mental illness and substance use disorder; contribute to treatment and discharge plans.
• Monitor health and safety; perform crisis intervention and medication administration as directed.
• Attend trainings and maintain all required certifications.
• Follow physician orders and nursing protocols; support crisis and aftercare planning.
