Job summary

The American Indian Community Development Corporation (AICDC) seeks a House Manager to ensure safety and security for residents across the Elliot, Franklin, and Kola Houses. The role involves handling crises, including medical and mental health situations, and presenting a professional image to clients and staff.

Part-time up to 30 hours per week or on-call, with responsibilities for enforcing rules, monitoring activities, and coordinating with teams and external agencies to maintain a safe

Qualifications

  • Completion of coursework in a health or human services-related field leading to a Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree
  • Certification as a Minnesota DHS Peer Specialist
  • Meets requirements for unlicensed personnel in licensed home care settings

Responsibilities

  • Help clients maintain housing stability by enforcing resident rules and de-escalation
  • Monitor security cameras and conduct regular rounds and take appropriate action
  • Report incidents timely and document per protocol
  • Respond to emergencies including fire, severe weather, and first aid CPR
  • Search resident rooms and belongings for contraband
  • Conduct resident breathalyzer and/or UA tests
  • Monitor and remind residents of medications
  • Assist with move-outs and packing belongings
  • Report, log, and complete maintenance work orders
  • Perform emergency janitorial cleaning
  • Clean out resident rooms during move-outs
  • Attend staff meetings and trainings
  • Coordinate with staff, property management, and outside agencies
  • Intermediate computer skills including data entry, Word and Excel
  • Schedule uncovered shifts from on-call list
  • All other duties as assigned by Director of Program Operations
