Job summary

Valle del Sol is seeking a Community Liaison – Harm Reduction and Rescue Specialist to perform community-based outreach and overdose prevention within Phoenix, AZ. You will connect individuals affected by substance use disorders to treatment and social supports, using trauma-informed, recovery-oriented approaches.

Required: HS diploma or GED; experience with underserved populations and outreach; CPR/First Aid and naloxone training or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with underserved populations or relevant behavioral health education.
• Experience delivering outreach, peer support, case management, or crisis support.
• Preferred: harm reduction, overdose prevention, street outreach or homeless outreach.
• Familiarity with MAT, OTP, and recovery support services.

Responsibilities

• Provide community-based outreach and overdose prevention education.
• Deliver crisis response support and resource navigation for individuals with substance use disorders.
• Build relationships with community partners and connect clients to treatment and recovery services.
• Apply trauma‑informed, recovery‑oriented care in alignment with AHCCCS standards.
