Valle del Sol is seeking a Community Liaison – Harm Reduction and Rescue Specialist to deliver trauma-informed outreach and crisis support to individuals affected by substance use disorders. The role connects clients to treatment options, recovery services, and social supports while engaging with community partners to promote AHCCCS-aligned, culturally responsive care.

The position emphasizes education on harm reduction, overdose prevention, and naloxone distribution.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, public health, social services, or related field.
• Experience: Experience with vulnerable/underserved populations or relevant education/training in behavioral health or community outreach.
• Experience: Community-based support, outreach, peer support, case management, or crisis support.
• Preferred: experience in harm reduction, overdose prevention, MAT familiarity, or recovery support programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide community-based outreach and crisis support.
• Navigate and connect individuals to treatment, recovery services, and social supports.
• Deliver overdose prevention education and naloxone distribution when appropriate.
• Engage with community partners such as shelters, hospitals, and first responders.
