Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Associate's degree or two years of related social work experience are required.
• Must have a dependable automobile, valid driver's license, and auto insurance.
• Must pass the CANTS and other required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Work with families in crisis through DCFS and state contracts.
• Prepare written reports and maintain records and court testimony.
• Sign monthly client progress reports with goals, services, and outcomes.
• Report all child abuse and neglect.
• Attend mandated training and work in the home teaching homemaking and parenting skills.
• Provide transportation for supervised/unsupervised visits and observe interactions.
• Assist families with housing options and access community resources.
• Aim to support intact families and prevent out-of-home placement.

Education

Associate's degree from an accredited institution

Two years of work experience in social work related to child welfare
