Job summary

One Hope United is seeking an Engagement Specialist to support individuals in crisis and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. The role focuses on crisis response, advocacy, and linking clients to community resources for stability.

The position requires flexibility to work after hours and travel within the community, with a strong emphasis on compassionate, client-centered care and safeguarding confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Engagement/home visiting experience is preferred.
• Funder-required lived experience as a consumer of mental health or substance abuse services.
• Funder-preferred 3 years post-lived experience.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and acceptable driving record with OHU auto insurance requirements.
• Community resource experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis response during on-call rotation within the required response timeframe.
• Respond to crisis in person, by phone, in the office, or via video as approved.
• Work outside regular office hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Engage and work effectively with individuals in crisis and with partners and community resources.
• Observe and document interactions accurately, with written reports.
• Transport individuals following safety guidelines and program policies.
