Job summary

People Incorporated Mental Health Services is seeking full-time Treatment Counselors to join our Crisis/IRTS team in Coon Rapids, MN. The role focuses on engaging clients in mental health recovery using person-centered care and supporting them through crisis stabilization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in behavioral science or related field or higher with relevant practicum/internship.
• 2,000 hours of supervised experience in mental illness services or related areas; or graduate-level clinical training program enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Engage clients in recovery using person-centered principles and build supportive relationships.
• Demonstrate clinical knowledge aligned with treatment plans and client goals.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation to ensure client and program safety.
• Prepare assessments, treatment plans, plan-of-care reviews, and discharge plans.
• Assist with client intake, orientation, and required paperwork.
• Administer medications in accordance with policies where applicable.
