Kenneth Young Center is seeking a Recovery Support Specialist for the Living Room Program in Mount Prospect, IL. This PRN role supports guests with crisis stabilization, recovery planning, and linkages to services, working with staff across multiple programs on a 24/7 operation.

The position emphasizes trauma-informed care, peer support, and collaboration with First Responders, with opportunities for professional growth and competitive benefits in a nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or psychology preferred.
• CRSS or CPRS certification preferred.
• 1-2 years experience in recovery/community support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide shift coverage as needed based on program needs.
• Engage and orient clients to services across Living Room, Mobile Crisis Response, or Drop-in Center.
• Collaborate with First Responders for warm handoffs and safety planning.
• Assist supervisor to plan activities and maintain a trauma-informed environment.
