Job summary

Pacific Clinics is seeking a Crisis Peer Specialist to join the Mobile Crisis Response Team in Nevada County. You will provide direct crisis intervention and de-escalation in the community, gathering information, supporting callers, and coordinating with local resources 24/7.

Ideal candidates bring lived experience, experience de-escalating mental health crises, and a team-oriented approach to partner with the crisis continuum of care in Nevada County.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Must know or quickly acquire extensive knowledge of local community resources.
• Be able to articulate the experience and perspective of an individual with complex needs involving mental health, homelessness, or probation services.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct crisis services to individuals in community settings.
• Documents direct billable mental health services in alignment with Medi-Cal regulations and meets productivity expectations.
• Engages with individuals' families and natural supports to build alignment.
• Uses individual strengths and natural supports to help achieve goals and outcomes.
• Creates strength-based crisis intervention and planning with individuals and their supports.
• Identifies therapeutic opportunities during crisis situations.
• Works with individuals and/or families to develop safety and skill refinement plans.
• Travels to locations identified for crisis work.
• Performs other responsibilities as assigned to support department needs.
