Job summary

Comprehensive Healthcare is seeking a Crisis Outreach Professional to join our 24-hour Acute Care team in Yakima, WA. You will handle crisis calls, assess safety in the field, and coordinate hospital or outpatient placements to stabilize clients using the least restrictive setting.

The role requires a Master’s degree in social work or counseling, two years of behavioral health experience, and eligibility for Designated Crisis Responder status, with a driving license and background checks

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field.
• Two years of prior experience providing behavioral health treatment.
• Designated Crisis Responder designation eligibility.
• Credential eligibility with the Dept of Health for Mental Health Professional status.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Post-offer, pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Receive calls for crisis services from individuals, law enforcement, medical facilities, and service providers.
• Respond in the community to assess safety and determine least restrictive environment.
• Arrange placements for voluntary and involuntary hospitalization or detox when needed.
• Communicate with treatment teams and participate in safety planning.
• Complete extensive clinical and legal documentation for each call.
