Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Mental Health professional to perform initial needs assessments, identify appropriate services, and facilitate referrals. The role supports discharge planning and involuntary commitment procedures in coordination with police, physicians, and public agencies.

The candidate will collaborate with the unit team to cover responsibilities, respond to codes, and ensure clear communication of patient needs while adhering to HIPAA policies and AHN codes of conduct.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in mental health related field.
• 3-5 years' experience in assessment, crisis intervention, working with individuals with mental health problems, addiction or developmental disabilities.
• Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes AHN's Core Behaviors to collaborate for appropriate assessment, plan, and disposition (40%).
• Engages as part of the unit team to provide coverage per Hospital responsibility (10%).
• Provides backup coverages to units including responding to organizational codes (10%).
• Effectively communicates all aspects of patient needs utilizing team collaboration, identifying appropriate referral and disposition (40%).
