Job summary

Bay Cove Human Services seeks a Mental Health Worker to provide direct crisis services for adults in the CCS. The role includes admissions, treatment planning, running groups, case management, and discharge, with 1:1 supervision as needed.

The position also covers unit operations, meal setup/cleanup, room maintenance, and laundry. The MHW position is non-exempt with a weekend schedule: Friday 4pm-12am; Saturday 8am-4pm; Sunday 8am-4pm.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in a mental health setting.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and providers.
• Leadership, problem-solving, and crisis management in challenging situations.
• Ability to work independently and handle lifting 20 pounds; perform cleaning and laundry as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete admissions, treatment plans, daily client documentation, and discharge summaries.
• Lead, co-lead, or observe therapeutic groups; ensure unit follows daily schedule.
• Maintain unit cleanliness, assist in meal prep/cleanup, bedding and laundry.
• Coordinate with insurers, DMH, BMC, BEST, and Cape Cod community resources.
• Participate in daily rounds with the multidisciplinary team and follow up on issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols and facility safety checks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
