Connections Health Solutions in Virginia is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to provide individual therapy, group counseling, life skills sessions, and crisis management. The role includes case management support and collaboration with community resources.

You will document services using our electronic system and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate holds an LMHP license (Virginia) with 3+ years of mental health or substance use experience, and is comfortable

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, substance dependency, or related field.
• Unrestricted LMHP license in Virginia (LMHP, LMHP-R, LMHP-RP or LMHP-S and CATP) or eligible licensure.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in mental health, substance use treatment, or related field.
• Knowledge of recovery principles and co-occurring disorders.
• Experience with crisis management and case management.

Responsabilités

• Conduct psychosocial assessments within 24 hours of admission and maintain accurate clinic records.
• Provide education on DBT, trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and service plans.
• Prepare clinical reports and individualized service plans using electronic documentation software.
• Conduct brief interventions and both individual and group counseling.
• Coordinate referrals to community services and supports; provide case management.
