Project Oz in McLean County seeks a full-time Youth and Family Specialist to support youth aged 10–17 and their families using crisis intervention techniques. The role focuses on mediating conflicts, facilitating referrals, and teaching life skills within a trauma-informed framework.

The ideal candidate will work with a dedicated team, participate in community outreach, and contribute to a caring, supportive, and professional environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field.
• Reliable personal transportation; may transport clients.
• Must be flexible, respond to crisis calls, and travel to evenings/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention counseling, aftercare, and advocacy for youth and families.
• Assist youth to return home or arrange temporary placement when needed.
• Provide counseling for up to 90 days and maintain weekly family sessions.
• Coordinate referrals and linkages to appropriate community resources.
