Job summary

Jobtailor in Richmond, VA seeks a QMHP to provide direct crisis intervention and stabilization within the community under supervision. You will support assessments and develop individualized service plans, using de-escalation techniques and providing basic mental health education.

Responsibilities include accurate charting, fast documentation, care coordination through referrals, and connecting clients to internal and external behavioral health resources.

Qualifications

• Active QMHP registration with the Virginia Board of Counseling.
• Bachelor's degree in a Human Services-related field.
• DBHDS Statewide Crisis Training Certification.
• Minimum of six months of crisis services experience.
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Successful completion of background check, Central Registry clearance, and TB screening.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct crisis intervention and stabilization services within the community.
• Support completion of initial assessments and assist in collaboratively developing Individualized Service Plans under the direction of a licensed professional.
• Utilize de-escalation techniques and provide basic mental health education.
• Accurately document service notes and submit documentation within 24 hours of service delivery.
• Upload required documentation and signatures in a timely manner and maintain 100% chart compliance.
• Assist with care coordination through referrals and discharge planning.
• Connect individuals with appropriate internal and external behavioral health resources.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of program operations.
