Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Crisis Intervention Specialist to provide call-in crisis response, primarily during nights and weekends, with occasional daytime shifts. The role requires evaluating risk, developing safety plans, and coordinating with emergency services and healthcare professionals to stabilize clients.

The position emphasizes short-term crisis interventions, accurate documentation, and referrals to appropriate services, with ongoing meetings and supervision as part of the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a human services field.
• Must qualify as a Mental Health Professional (MHP).
• Evening/weekend availability is required.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Travel to off-site locations required.
• Must pass registry clearance and criminal fingerprint checks.
• Must maintain First Aid & CPR certification.
• Must have valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis response on a call-in basis, primarily nights and weekends with some days.
• Accept at least one crisis call per month to maintain call-in status.
• Provide crisis intervention to stabilize consumers using short-term techniques and referrals.
• Use approved tools to evaluate risk for individuals in mental health crisis.
• Collaborate with emergency services, law enforcement, and medical professionals.
• Develop safety plans with clients and ensure continuity of care.
