Job summary

Center for Family Services seeks an Emergency Mental Health Responder for ARRIVE Together in Phillipsburg, NJ. This part-time role involves crisis intervention, coordination with law enforcement, and direct service to adults and older adults experiencing behavioral health crises.

The role requires NJ screener eligibility or equivalent credentials, and relevant mental health licenses or degrees. A sign-on bonus is available and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
• License for independent practice in New Jersey, in good standing.
• 2 years supervised experience in working with mentally ill clients.

Responsibilities

• Respond with law enforcement personnel to psychiatric emergencies within Warren County.
• Provide crisis intervention services to adults and older adults; include clients with Co-Occurring or MR/DD as needed.
• Coordinate services with providers, courts, and hospitals; advocate for client access to needed services.
• Provide face-to-face case management and planning to enable access to community resources.
• Maintain documentation meeting Center standards and participate in performance improvement activities.

Education

Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related behavioral health field

BA in related field + 3 years mental health experience

BA in related field + 2 years mental health experience (crisis)

RN with 3 years post-RN mental health crisis experience
