Job summary

EMPACT-SPC is seeking a DCS Crisis Specialist to provide direct crisis services in home, school, office and community settings. You will coordinate with multiple systems to ensure continuity of care and maintain thorough documentation.

The role requires strong communication, calmness under pressure, and the ability to work with high-risk clients. You will join a mission-driven nonprofit offering generous PTO, holidays, and comprehensive benefit options; Arizona driver license and 21+ age

Qualifications

• Degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field (or equivalent experience) with minimum healthcare background.
• Experience working with children in Department of Child Safety or RBHA system preferred.
• Experience using electronic health records (EHR).
• Detail-oriented with strong time management, organizational and customer service skills.
• Clear and effective communication.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; able to resolve conflicts.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
• Fingerprint clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct crisis services in home, in-office, in school and community; include de-escalation and crisis intervention.
• Maintain client records per agency policies and ensure quality service delivery.
• Coordinate care with Behavioral Health providers, Juvenile Probation, school and other agencies.
• Adhere to agency standards of care and support quality management.
• Work safely and cooperatively as part of a team.
• Oversee department vehicle operations and report incidents; conduct basic safety checks.
• Handle potentially volatile situations professionally when crises occur.
