Job summary

The Care Center, Inc. in Washington, PA is hiring for crisis intervention professionals to support behavioral health consumers and families. Responsibilities include crisis assessment, service planning, documentation, and referrals to appropriate resources for ongoing treatment and safety.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s in social work. Clearances (state police, DHS, FBI) are required, along with the ability to transport and coordinate with partner agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in social work or related field from an accredited program.
• Knowledge of governmental program regulations and social service providers.
• Ability to obtain vital information during interviews and make recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Assess crises, implement intervention techniques, and connect clients with ongoing treatment.
• Maintain accurate crisis intervention records and develop service plans.
• Advise supervisory staff of changes in client behavior and incidents.
• Provide counseling to clients and families in crisis and refer to services.
• Prepare correspondences, records, and documentation timely.
• Promote community awareness and educate on mental health and crisis prevention.
• Direct services including interviewing clients and facilitating groups; on-call as needed.
• Advocate for access to services and coordinate with agencies and law enforcement.
• Establish partnerships to support reintegration and community resources.
• Perform other duties as required.
