Job Details

Role: Crisis Intervention Specialist – Full Time (Evening shift)

Location: Williamsport, PA 17701

Type: Full Time

Education Level: 4 Year Degree (Bachelor’s)

Salary Range: $21.54 – $25.09 per hour; $0.75 shift differential for evening; $1.50 /hr for overnight; On‑Call hourly rate $23.00; $300 per week stipend for full week.

Shift: Evening (flexible; weekends and holidays required); overnight optional.

Responsibilities

Provide telephone, walk‑in, and mobile crisis assessment. Deliver brief crisis counseling, conflict resolution, referrals to community resources, and enact involuntary commitments as appropriate. Work within a supportive team to connect clients to mental health, drug, and alcohol services in Clinton and Lycoming Counties. Respond to on‑call requests and maintain strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field, with coursework in sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, history, criminal justice, nursing, counseling, education, theology, political science, or related field; plus at least one year of mental health experience.
  • Associate’s degree in psychology, sociology, or related field plus two years of direct mental health experience.

Experience & Licenses:

  • Valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, Act 33/34 and FBI clearances required.
  • One year of mental health direct care experience preferred; additional experience preferred for those without a bachelor’s degree.

Skills: Knowledge of de‑escalation techniques, computer literacy, understanding of PA 302/201 process, and knowledge of Pennsylvania resources.
