WellSpan Health is seeking a Crisis Intervention Counselor in Gettysburg, PA to provide immediate support during behavioral health crises in community settings. You will meet clients where they are, assess crises, stabilize situations, and connect them to ongoing care and resources.

The role emphasizes independent evaluation, de-escalation, and collaboration with providers, families, and community partners to promote safety and hope.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related field is required.
• 2 years mental health or crisis intervention experience with an unrelated bachelor’s degree is required.

Responsabilidades

• Respond to behavioral health crises in community settings.
• Conduct crisis assessments and develop immediate stabilization plans.
• Work independently to evaluate needs and provide interventions in real time.
• De-escalate situations and support clients through emotional and behavioral crises.
• Connect individuals to appropriate mental health, substance use, and community resources.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, first responders, families, and community partners.
• Ensure timely documentation and adherence to established policies and procedures.
