Job summary

WellSpan Health in Gettysburg, PA, seeks a Behavioral Health Professional to provide initial triage, crisis intervention, and coordination of care in the Crisis Walk-In Center. You will assess, document, and facilitate admissions while supporting patients and families with confidential, compassionate care.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a relevant field and licensure as LPC/LCSW/LMFT; minimum 3 years of psychology, social work, or related experience.

Qualifications

• Requires interpersonal skills to manage patient admission interaction and to advise, counsel, and lead staff in compliance with policies.
• Ability to provide counsel on sensitive patient matters and act in a public relations capacity.
• Analytical ability to determine appropriate solutions to crisis calls and service inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Triages requests for service and provides prompt assistance according to urgency.
• Documents all requests for service using computerized inquiry functions.
• Maintains knowledge of insurance/managed care for pre-certifications and authorizations.
