Job summary

Community Counseling of Bristol County (CCBC) in Taunton, MA is seeking a Jail Diversion Clinician to collaborate with police, EMS, and fire departments to conduct crisis evaluations and reduce unnecessary involvement with the criminal justice system. You will provide brief, solution-focused counseling and facilitate referrals to mental health and community resources.

Qualifications

• License-eligible Master's degree or independently licensed as LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT.
• Proficiency with computers and electronic health record systems.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency diagnostic evaluations and phone triage for pediatric and adult patients to assess lethality and determine treatment plans.
• Deliver real-time crisis response and follow-up care for 911 and police calls in partnership with law enforcement.
• Develop safety plans and crisis management strategies to stabilize clients and families in the community.
• Assist law enforcement with emergency psychiatric and substance use holds (Sections 12, 35, and 18).
• Coordinate care with educational services, state agencies, and social supports across the continuum of care.
• Maintain records and mandated reports, program forms, and insurance documentation.
