Children’s Home Association of Illinois (CHAIL) in Peoria, IL is seeking a Behavioral Management Specialist to lead behavior policy implementation and crisis de-escalation efforts within Kiefer School and the Academy for Autism. The role emphasizes collaboration with an interdisciplinary team and data-driven feedback to staff.

The position requires experience with trauma-exposed youth, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage stress while prioritizing tasks in a dynamic school

Qualifications

• This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in social work or behavioral science.
• Multiple years of full-time experience with behaviorally or emotionally disturbed youth.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care and youth development.
• Ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team and provide effective feedback.
• Strong communication skills and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with crisis intervention staff and monitor behavior management.
• Provide feedback to staff, students/parents, and collateral resources.
• Train and supervise staff in behavior management and collect data.
