Job summary

Synova Group is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for an Adult Crisis Group Home in Minnesota. This role focuses on stabilizing individuals in crisis, building trust, and supporting daily living while ensuring safety and therapeutic goals are met.

You will work with adults and possibly younger individuals in a short-term residential setting, following care plans and company policies to promote independence and community participation.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Have experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and maintain a clean driving record.
• Have access to an insured vehicle.
• Successfully pass a DHS background study.
• Have basic computer skills for documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships and support individuals in developing friendships and community connections.
• Assist with daily routines such as cooking, household tasks, personal care, hygiene, social activities, and leisure activities.
• Support individuals with health and safety needs, money management, and behavior support strategies.
• Administer medications according to training and company procedures.
• Provide transportation to appointments, activities, and community outings.
• Document services, activities, and important events using an online documentation system.
• Encourage independence while providing the level of support each individual needs.
