Job summary

Frontier Behavioral Health seeks a Crisis Clinician to join a multidisciplinary team in Spokane. The role provides telephonic and outreach crisis intervention, connecting clients to community resources while aiming to divert from emergency departments and inpatient care.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health field, valid driver’s license, and WA credentialing within 30 days. You’ll work Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with travel between locations and a competitive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health related field.
• Must apply for a Counselor Agency Affiliated – Registered credential from the WA State Department of Health within 30 days of hire.
• Must have an unrestricted and valid driver’s license, pass a motor vehicle screening and driving test, have active car insurance, and be willing to use their personal vehicle in the course of work.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial and follow‑up phone triage, assessment, and de‑escalation services for individuals in crisis.
• Provide crisis and hospital diversion services to youth, adults, and families in crisis and facilitate access to resources.
• Complete risk assessments to determine suicide/homicide risk and coordinate with supervisor.
• Create recovery plans and ongoing support with the client’s network.
• Travel between sites to see clients and work with community resources.
