Job summary

Adult & Child Health in Indianapolis is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to support clients across behavioral health and medical settings. The role focuses on monitoring health, documenting vitals, and assisting treatment teams in crisis intervention within a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

The ideal candidate will hold an Indiana EMT-B certification, bring strong communication skills, and demonstrate reliability in both emergency and routine health needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of responsible employment history required.
• Experience in human services or behavioral health preferred.
• Current EMT-B certification (Indiana) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and supportive care to clients/patients in line with program expectations.
• Monitor client behavior, document interactions, and report concerns to supervisors and treatment teams.
• Conduct health monitoring, including vital signs, and support crisis intervention.
• Respond to incoming and crisis calls, coordinating appropriate follow-up.
• Ensure client rights, rules, and precaution protocols are adhered to, maintaining safety.
