Job summary

MultiCare Behavioral Health Network in Puyallup, WA is seeking a Crisis Care Coordinator to provide follow-up services for individuals in crisis and to coordinate referrals to community services. Requires a Bachelor’s in social sciences or related field; WA ACCR or LMHCA credentials; valid WA driver’s license and 2 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, mental health or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
• Washington State ACCR credential must be applied for within thirty (30) days of hire; employees may work while the application is pending for up to 120 days, OR a LMHCA credentialed with Washington State may be substituted for the AAC
• Current Washington state driver’s license is required
• Minimum two years of experience preferred
• Proof of a safe driving record (motor vehicle report) meeting MultiCare standards
• Must pass background checks from correctional facilities and jails that refer to crisis team; annual checks required

Responsibilities

• Provide follow up services for individuals seen in crisis and coordinate referrals and warm hand offs to appropriate services to stabilize future crisis.
• Coordinate care within and across systems and ensure linkage to appropriate services.
• Conduct risk assessment and collaborate with law enforcement and first responders to educate.
• Work with crisis team and co-responders to divert individuals from incarceration or unnecessary ER visits.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, mental health or related field

Washington State ACCR credential must be applied for within 30 days of hire

Mental Health Counselor Assoc (LMHCA) credential may substitute for AAC

Current Washington state driver’s license

Minimum two years of experience preferred

Background checks clearance with correctional facilities
