FTE: 1.0 Shift: Day Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday, 11am - 9:30pm Additional Information: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in behavioral health, crisis intervention, case management, care coordination, or a related field preferred. Current Washington State driver's license and proof of current automobile insurance required. Must meet MultiCare's safe driving standards as verified through a motor vehicle record (MVR) review. Must successfully complete all MultiCare pre-employment requirements, including a urine analysis (UA) screening. Must be eligible for and maintain clearance to enter correctional facilities and jails that refer individuals to the crisis team, including successful completion of required background checks and annual re-screening. Must successfully complete Pierce County Sheriff's Office (PCS) onboarding requirements, including urine analysis, fingerprinting, background investigation, and background interview prior to the start date. Employment offers are contingent upon meeting these requirements. Must be able to wear a ballistic vest while responding to calls and providing field-based services.

Position Summary

The Crisis Care Coordinator is responsible for providing follow up services for individuals seen in crisis and helping coordinate referrals and warm hand offs to appropriate services in the community to help stabilize and/or mitigate future crisis The incumbent provides direct assistance in gaining access to services; coordinates care within and across systems; ensures linkage to appropriate services; conducts assessment of the eligible recipient to determine service needs; evaluates and completes a risk assessment; collaborates with law enforcement and other first responders to educate; works closely with all member of the crisis team and co-responders to help divert individuals from incarceration or unnecessary visits to the emergency department.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, mental health or related field required; Master’s degree preferred Washington State Counselor Agency Affiliated Registered (ACCR) credential must be applied for within thirty (30) days of hire. Employees may work while the application is pending for up to one hundred twenty (120) days, OR a Mental Health Counselor Assoc (LMHCA) credentialed with Washington State may be substituted for the AAC Current Washington state driver’s license Minimum two (2) years of experience preferred Proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MultiCare Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state Must be approved, have clearance, and pass additional background checks from correctional facilities and jails that make referrals to crisis team and agree to annual background checks.

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $30.40 - $43.75 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
