Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority seeks a Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor to lead non-clinical staff at the Crisis Care Center. This role involves supervising technicians, scheduling, and monthly staff reporting while supporting admissions and transfers.

The position emphasizes de-escalation, emergency response, and No-Force-First recovery with a 12-hour shift in a 24/7 crisis environment. High school diploma and two years of supervisory experience are required.

Formación

• Two (2) years of professional experience performing behavioral technician or peer recovery and support duties.
• Two (2) years of full-time paid professional experience as a manager or supervisor.

Responsabilidades

• Oversees behavioral health technician staff members.
• Oversees the scheduling of behavioral health technician staff members.
• Completes monthly reporting on staff members.
• Assists with admissions, discharges, and transfers of individuals.
• Conducts ongoing observation of individuals for the purpose of reporting any significant changes.
• Responds quickly to critical situations that may require Restrictive Interventions.
• Functions as a leader in providing de-escalation and support strategies to prevent the use of physical restraints.
• Provides effective emergency response in the event of imminent danger in order to maintain safety and security.
• Provides a No-Force-First recovery environment.
• Assists with food preparation, serving and clean up.
• Assists individuals with shower and clean-up.
• Monitors internal cameras throughout the shift.
• Assists with environmental and safety checks on the crisis units.
• Attends all required unit leadership team meetings.
• Participates on the unit leadership team in the capacity of a supervisor.
• Performs room safety checks, ensuring that individuals are safe from potentially dangerous objects and that the rooms are clean.
• Maintains updated training for all staff in de-escalation standards and strategies.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
