Job summary

LHH seeks a midlevel associate for its Criminal Litigation Group in Maryland. You will handle your own caseload, work directly with experienced trial lawyers, and take ownership of matters to become a first-chair advocate.

Candidate must be admitted to the Maryland Bar with 3–6 years of criminal defense experience, based in either Rockville or Baltimore. Salary ranges from $160,000–$185,000 with comprehensive benefits and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Admitted to the Maryland Bar.
• 3–6 years in criminal defense or related litigation.
• Willingness to manage own caseload with client contact.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload with significant client contact.
• Draft and argue pretrial and dispositive motions.
• Develop case strategy and defense theories.
• Negotiate with prosecutors and opposing counsel.
• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials.
• Gain extensive hands-on litigation and trial experience.
