Job summary

Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to teach Criminal Justice courses in an adjunct pool for ongoing openings in Albemarle, Virginia. Teaching modalities include online, on-campus, and hybrid formats, with potential for remote instruction and in-person campus involvement.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and at least two years of law enforcement experience; a Master’s degree with CJ graduate hours is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field.
• At least 2 years’ law enforcement work experience.
• Master’s degree in criminal justice or related with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Criminal Justice courses.

Responsibilities

• Teach developmental and/or college-level courses, including distance-learning, during the day and evening.
• Primarily face-to-face with the possibility of remote instruction.
• May participate in professional development and campus service as needed.
