Job summary

Tri-County Technical College in Pendleton, SC, seeks collaborative Criminal Justice Adjunct Instructors to teach various courses, both online and on campus. Reporting to the Public Services Department Head, you will deliver planned instruction, monitor attendance, and maintain student records.

Candidates should hold a Master’s in criminal justice (or 18 graduate hours) and have at least seven years of related law enforcement experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in criminal justice or a minimum of 18 graduate hours in criminal justice.
• Seven years of related field experience in law enforcement.
• Post-secondary teaching experience is preferred (online and in-person).
• SCCJA Basic Instructor Development (BID) certification or equivalent may be considered.
• A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree alone is not sufficient for this position.

Responsibilities

• Teach various criminal justice courses with planned instruction and deliver it onsite or online.
• Maintain records of student progress and attendance and assign grades.
• Involve students in practical applications using our facilities.
