Job summary

Motlow State Community College is seeking adjunct Criminal Justice faculty for a pool position. Responsibilities include teaching up to 12 credit hours per semester, collaborating with faculty and leadership, and supporting curricular and co-curricular activities across multiple campuses.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or 18 graduate hours in a qualifying field. Preferred: doctoral degree and CC teaching experience. Salary is paid per credit hour.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in discipline or a qualifying field earned from a regionally accredited institution by the application date.
• Qualifying Fields: Criminal Justice
• Doctoral degree and 3 years CC teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses as assigned in accordance with the catalog description and approved syllabus.
• Teach dual enrollment classes at area high schools as assigned; Travel to multiple campuses.
• Collaborate with faculty and leadership on curricular and programmatic issues.
• Stay current with developments in the teaching discipline and incorporate updates into instruction.
• Support curricular and co-curricular activities within the college.
• Teach up to 12 credit hours per semester as assigned.
• Maintain availability to communicate with and meet students regarding coursework.
