Job summary

Lackawanna College is seeking adjunct instructors for the Hazleton Campus to teach courses for Fall 2026. Positions are part-time and hired on a per-semester basis, with evaluation criteria including timely communication and student evaluations.

The role reports to the AVP of Academic Operations, with the Hazleton Center Director as the primary contact. Minimum qualifications include a master’s degree in the content area or education.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in content area or Master’s degree in education with an undergraduate degree in the content area preferred. Bachelors Degrees will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepares lesson plans and instructs students in an on-ground classroom setting.
• Thoroughly prepares and teaches all course lessons, considering diverse learners and current trends and industry regulations.
• Provides support and guidance to students to optimize learning outcomes.
• Completes and maintains all required documentation and records, meeting deadlines (syllabi, grades, attendance, etc.).
• Fosters a professional and supportive classroom environment and encourages critical thinking and growth.
