The Office of Juvenile Justice is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Criminal Investigator 2 to support Investigative Services through thorough, objective, and policy-driven investigative work. In this role, you will conduct investigations into criminal violations, staff misconduct, youth abuse allegations, and violations of departmental policies and procedures. You will gather and analyze evidence, interview witnesses and involved parties, review video footage, prepare clear investigative reports, and document findings in required systems.
As a POST-certified law enforcement professional, you will also support daily unit operations, assist with policy and procedure development, coordinate responses to inquiries from leadership and external partners, and provide expert guidance on investigative standards. This position requires strong communication skills, excellent report writing, and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
You will serve as a key resource for agency leadership, collaborate with law enforcement and legal partners, respond to major incidents, and ensure investigative practices meet state, federal, and agency requirements. Your work will directly support safety, accountability, and compliance across the organization.
