Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent per Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, criminology, psychology, analysis strategies, or related area; or four years as a crime analyst.
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
• Experience in threat management.
• Knowledge of the law enforcement field.
• Experience in generating detailed reports, public speaking, and presentations.
• Experience in data research and analytics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete multi‑functional tasks.

Responsibilities

• Collects, organizes, evaluates and analyzes criminal and intelligence information.
• Reviews intelligence sources to develop tactical and strategic intelligence.
• Correlates new information with existing criminal data in systems.
• Prepares intelligence reports, charts, bulletins and briefings.
• Presents findings to UCF Police Department and other agencies.
• Assists in major case investigations by coordinating reports and data.
• Performs background research support for staff and external agencies.
• Maintains quality control of the intelligence database and files.
