Compensation: $70,000 - 105,000 yearly

Responsibilities

Our “Responsible Attorneys” manage caseloads based on jurisdictions. You will have primary responsibility for all case activities, including:

  1. Conducting evidentiary hearings, depositions, and trials.
  2. Meeting with clients to discuss discovery and negotiate pleas.
  3. Communicating with prosecutors, judges, and court representatives.
  4. Participating in docket calls in state and municipal courts.
  5. Performing legal investigations and preparing documents.
  6. Handling consultations with leads and assisting in signing them up.
  7. Attending legal proceedings, conducting legal analysis, and providing legal advice with support from experienced lawyers.
  8. Collaborating with clients and colleagues to resolve cases.
  9. Analyzing disputes, counseling clients, and negotiating on their behalf.
  10. Managing case files to ensure updates are accessible to team members.

You will report to our Supervising Attorney and work closely with the Client Care Team. The current plan is to assign you to our “Western Pod” at the O’Fallon office, with potential flexibility to work at the Sunset Hills location.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is organized, responsible, honest, proactive, eager to learn, and motivated to achieve the best outcomes. Requirements include:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed attorney in Missouri.
  • Strong typing and technology skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, database software, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility, initiative, good judgment, and discretion.
  • Illinois law license (preferred but not necessary).
  • Satisfactory results in relevant assessments.
  • Self-reliance, growth mindset, and openness to technology.
