The Amarillo Police Department is seeking a dedicated Crime Scene Technician to photograph and process crime scenes for evidence within the Crime Scene Investigation Unit. You will follow established procedures and complete a structured training plan to build CSI expertise.

You will collect, examine and package evidence, operate AFIS and SPEX, and prepare lab reports. You may testify in court and attend autopsies as required, with 24-hour callouts and after-hours work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 60 college credit hours.
• 1 year full-time CSI experience or 2 years in a law enforcement investigative support role.
• Ability to work after hours, weekends and holidays.
