Job summary

Fraser Yachts in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a recruitment professional to interview crew, verify licenses, and shortlist candidates that fit client briefs. You will work with the local office and global crewing teams, using Fraser procedures to ensure MLC compliance and maintain crew records.

This role requires strong English, CRM and social media skills, willingness to travel, and a talent for building lasting relationships.

Qualifications

  • Strong recruiting experience, preferably in maritime or high-end services.
  • Experience verifying licenses and compliance documentation.
  • Proven ability to source and shortlist suitable candidates quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Interview crew and assess fit against client briefs.
  • Check references and licenses to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure MLC compliance and maintain crew records.
  • Utilise CRM and social media to source candidates.
  • Present timely, accurate shortlists to clients.
  • Attend boat shows and support sales of crew services.
  • Work to targets and collaborate with local/global teams.

Job description

To interview crew and fully vet their references and licenses. To carry out thorough search and selection of potential candidates. Present a timely shortlist that closely matches the requirements of a detailed client brief. Ensure client and crew satisfaction by efficiency and after-sales service.

To work as a member of the local office and global Crewing Teams; often liaising closely with Fraser Yacht Management and using Company procedures and professional recruitment practices to achieve goals.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):
  • Interviewing crew
  • Reference and Licence checking
  • Ensuring MLC compliance
  • Maintaining and updating crew records and populating assigned software
  • Reception and general administrative duties
  • Utilizing CRM and Social Media to source crew
  • Presenting the client with pertinent shortlists
  • Actively selling and marketing TCN services
  • Working to targets
  • Attending boat shows
JOB ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Working knowledge of industry tools (Job Boards, Social Media, etc.)
  • Excellent communicator in spoken and written English; A second languages is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel if needed;

Experience:
  • Strong computer and social media experience are necessary.
  • Marine Industry experience preferred.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant work experience in sales and recruiting are a bonus.
  • Relevant work experience may be substituted for educational experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
  • Work is conducted most often indoors in an air conditioned, illuminated office environment and periodically outdoors inspecting boats, meeting with yacht captains, and crew aboard vessels, at ports, and on floating barges.
  • Local travel may be required.
  • Utilization of standard office equipment is used in the working environment.
  • Motor skills and senses needed to carry out duties include talking, listening, typing, writing, visual inspection of documents and spaces.
Physical Abilities:
  • Light lifting, pushing, walking, and climbing stairs on boats.
